Geoffry E. Hallstead, DMD
Dr. Hallstead began his formal education at St. John Fisher College in Rochester, NY. He completed his Doctorate of Dental Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dentistry. Returning to Canandaigua in 1988, he assumed the helm of his father's dental practice, which was established in 1957.
To continue his education, Dr. Hallstead has completed many hours of continuing education at the Kois Center, an organization committed to the advancement of dentistry through science. His advanced knowledge and training enable his patients to receive better treatment and a more enjoyable dental experience.
A native of Canandaigua, Dr. Hallstead has been pleased to grow his practice and raise his family in such a wonderful community.
He and his wife, Jane, have two children, Ricky and Serica. Dr. Hallstead enjoys spending his free time with his family and has many interests, including driving a horse and carriage and gardening. He is actively involved with Blue Star Mothers (a veteran outreach program), Lions Club, and Cheshire Community Action Team.
Dr. Sarah Kamil, DDS
Dr. Sarah was born and raised in Iraq, she moved to Buffalo in 2013 where she then completed her senior year of high school in Amherst. Dr. Sarah earned her undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences from the University at Buffalo in 2019, then continued on to attend the University of Buffalo Dental School where she earned her Doctorate in Dental Surgery degree. After graduation, Dr. Sarah moved to Rochester to complete an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency program.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Sarah loves spending time with family, playing pickle ball, staying active, and trying new foods. She loves sharing meals with her family and friends. She enjoys the warmer weather, especially for hiking, outdoor activities, and of course ice cream!
Dr. Sarah's goal as a dentist is to provide a high quality care to her patients. She is passionate about helping people build confidence through better oral health and beautiful smiles. She believes in making sure her patients feel informed, empowered, and truly cared for at every step of their dental journey. Dr. Sarah is so excited to begin seeing patients at Canandaigua Dentistry alongside Dr. Hallstead, and looks forward to becoming part of this wonderful community.

Dr. Camilo Leal Escobar, DDS
Dr. Leal received his DDS degree from El Bosque University School of Dentistry in Bogota, Colombia, where he also completed a four-year Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency. He is an Assistant Professor in clinical dentistry and dental surgery at Eastman Institute in Rochester, NY, teaching dental resident's surgical techniques. Currently he holds privileges in clinical dentistry at the Strong Hospital URMC in Rochester, NY.
Outside the office, Dr. Leal enjoys flying planes, traveling and spending time with family and friends. Dr. Leal has dedicated his life to the field of oral surgery, teaching colleagues and helping patients for over 25 years.
